Sustainable Shop

A live brief set by DIME to create an innovative 'eco-series' of display furniture for use around a store space to showcase a range of skincare products. Utilising 'low energy' in-store marketing to engage and educate customers. Through this process, I researched existing products, evaluated them against a sustainability standard that I set, and then went on to design and prototype my final solution.

Exploring The Brief

Before designing a product, I first went through the research process to discover what technologies and solutions were already available in the market. After doing so, one of the key parts of the design process is to create a PDS, setting a clear goal and criteria of what I want to be working towards.

In addition to the PDS another large part of my development process is to define and understand the user. For this, I use tools such as personas and value proposition canvases.

From this, I take ideas into a scaled physical prototyping stage to help me visualise and further critique my designs.

Once I have a direction for how I would like to progress with a project, I start with initial rough sketches and get initial ideas on paper.
