Howdens EXPO

Working with the Expo team during my placement year, I was given a set to design. Using SketchUp and Layout to visualise and communicate my design to the build team to have it built at the 2024 Howdens Expo.

To assist in the creative process, I put together a 3D mood board to visualise colours and textures I was going to be working with throughout the process.

To create a visualisation of the space, I used SketchUp to quickly make multiple iterations of the space to gain feedback and work out what fits best.

Once the final design was approved, I moved the design over to Layout to clarify dimensions and assembly methods for the build team to translate it into a physical build.

After receiving critiques from the Expo team a few adjustments were made.

The set was designed to be achievable for people to put in their homes. Designed with a reasonable budget and a simple layout that will make it easier for the builder.
